Annual Meeting

The Tanana State Fair Association is accepting nominations to the 2019-20 Board of Directors. Board positions are to be filled by election from the association members at the March 28, 2018 Annual Meeting. Positions to be filled are 3 - three year positions and 1 - 2 year position.

Interested members of the community desiring to seek a board of Directors position need to fulfill the following:

  • Submit intent to run with brief bio to the Fair office on or before 5 PM, Tuesday, February 26th.
    • (The letter of intent and bio may be delivered in person, electronically, or via fax 907-456-7971.)
  • Live within 150 miles of Fairbanks.
  • Have paid 2019 association dues on or before 5 PM, February 26, 2019.

A background check will be conducted on all who submit a letter of intent.

Candidates for the Board should be prepared to commit 5 to 10 hours per month on Fair business. They will also be expected to attend scheduled board meetings. As with most non-profit boards, the members are expected to annually include the Fair as one of their personal charities.
