Conveniently located approximately ten minutes from downtown Fairbanks, the Tanana Valley Campground and RV Park is an ideal location for visitors looking for a place to camp and take in the scenic beauty of Alaska.

The Tanana Valley Campground and RV Park features a range of camping areas, including electric and non-electric sites. What’s more, each campsite has a fire pit, picnic table, and free internet access with Wi-Fi. Each of the camping areas are surrounded by multitudes of gorgeous trees, providing visitors with the privacy they need.

When not relaxing in the tranquility of their campsite, guests can embark on a wide variety of fun activities. Fairbanks, which is the second largest city in Alaska, boasts a number of tourist attractions. Our campgrounds are located near the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center, and guests can actually take Denali shuttle buses to different attractions in Fairbanks, as well as different destinations in Alaska and the Arctic.

Please be aware that our campground is part of the Fairgrounds, and events and activities including the Fair (July 31 - August 9) can be loud but typically settle down after 10 PM.

The Tanana Valley Campground and RV Park is easy to navigate and it provides guests with a plethora of entertainment options. The campground features both electric and non-electric sites, and while hanging out in their camping area, guests can enjoy an assortment of amenities, including fire pits, scenic hiking and biking areas, picnic tables, and free Wi-Fi.

Rates & Reservations

Nestled among the black spruce trees of Fairbanks, Alaska, Tanana Valley Campground & RV Park offers an affordable and scenic camping experience for every type of traveler.

2026 Rates

• Double RV Site (two 50-amp hookups): $100 per night
• RV Site with 50-amp service: $50 per night
• RV Site with 30-amp service: $40 per night
• RV Site without electric: $30 per night

Rates include up to 4 people per site.

Additional guests: $5 per person, per night

Dogs are welcome and must remain on a leash at all times.

Online Reservations & Payment

All reservations must be made online through our reservation portal.

We do not accept reservations by phone, email or text message.

Attendants are happy to assist you through the process between 10 am and 6pm on site.

To secure a campsite, guests must complete their reservation using a credit or debit card through our online booking system.

• Reservations are available online only.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking.
• We accept major credit and debit cards.
• No Cash options.
• No same-day reservations after 6:00 PM.
• Reservations close nightly at 12:00 AM (midnight) and reopen daily at 10:00 AM.

RV Size Restrictions

Our campground is a rustic, wooded setting with hundreds of closely spaced black spruce trees.

• Maximum RV setup length: 35 feet
• RVs longer than 35 feet cannot be accommodated.
• If your RV exceeds 35 feet, we recommend River's Edge RV Park in Fairbanks.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-In: 1:00 PM

Please stop by the Log Cabin Office during office hours to pick up your parking permit.

Arriving after 6:00 PM?

1. Pick up your pre- made parking permit from the cabin window.
2. Proceed directly to your reserved campsite.
3. Visit the office the following morning to complete check-in.

A parking permit is required for all guests.

Guests staying without a reservation or parking permit may be charged for the previous night's stay.

Check-Out: 11:00 AM

When departing, please place your parking permit in the gold slot on the cabin door so it can be recycled.
