Volunteer Coordinator


Job Title: VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Job Scope: Seasonal May 1 to mid-August (15-30 hours per week)

Coordinates with: Fair Staff

Wage: $15 per hour (DOE)

Job Duties:

  • Recruit and schedule volunteers for annual fair
  • Use Sign Up.com to recruit, schedule and track volunteers
  • Work with all departments to determine volunteer needs
  • Work with fair staff to orient, train and coordinate volunteers
  • Responsible for volunteer recognition
  • Work with Department Coordinators, Social Media and Executive Director to ensure volunteer efforts are maximized
  • Provide routine volunteer management reports including total volunteer hours donated to TVSFA.
  • End of Year Report including numbers of volunteers, volunteers hours, what worked well and what can be improved
  • Must have a genuine interest in the well-being of the Fair

Work Site:

  • TVSFA Fairgrounds: Totem Community Center & Summer Office

Job Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Experience working with diverse groups of people
  • Event planning & coordination
  • Requires sense of humor, energetic personality, mature demeanor and pleasant attitude
  • Ability to work comfortably with MSN 365 including Word and Excel
  • Be organized and have good attention to detail
